Privacy Policy

AutoListOnline is a listing and selling assistant for marketplace resellers, operated under the Autolist Online name. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Autolist Online, and "you" means the person using the service.

We are the data controller for the personal information described below. You can reach us at any time through our contact page.

We only collect what we need to run AutoListOnline:

• Account details: your name and email address, and a securely hashed password (or the provider you signed in with).
• Selling data you enter: products, photos, descriptions, prices, listings, sales and expenses, plus notes you add.
• Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type, device type, and which features you use, so we can keep the service working and improve it.
• Billing information: your subscription status and billing history. Card details are collected and stored by our payment provider, never by us.
• Messages you send us: anything you include when you contact support.

We use your information to:

• create and secure your account, and let you sign in;
• generate listings, price suggestions, trend reports and other AI features you ask for;
• keep your products, sales and expense records and show them back to you;
• take payment for a subscription and manage your access;
• respond to support requests and send essential service messages (for example password resets);
• detect misuse, prevent fraud, and keep the service secure and reliable;
• understand how the product is used so we can improve it.

Our lawful bases under UK data protection law are: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, complying with legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it (for example optional product emails).

When you use an AI feature, the details you provide for that feature (for example an item description or a product photo) are sent to the AI model provider so a result can be generated for you. We do not use your product data to train AI models ourselves, and we ask our providers to process it only to return the result we requested.

AI output is a suggestion, not a statement of fact. Always check generated listings, prices and descriptions before you rely on them.

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe, a payment provider. Your card details are entered on their secure checkout and are never seen or stored by AutoListOnline. We receive confirmation of payment, your subscription status, and limited billing details such as the last four digits of your card and the country it is registered in.

AutoListOnline is not connected to eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, Vinted, Depop, Gumtree, Amazon or any other marketplace. We do not log in to those sites on your behalf, do not post listings automatically, and do not receive your marketplace passwords. Listings you generate are copied across by you.

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, such as dark mode and your tax year selection. These are required for the app to work.

We also use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages and features are used. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the service may then stop working.

We share personal information only with the providers that make the service work:

• our hosting and database provider, which stores your account and app data;
• Stripe, for payments and subscription management;
• AI model providers, when you use an AI feature;
• email delivery providers, for account and password reset emails;
• professional advisers, or authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal information or rent it to advertisers.

We keep your account and selling data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and the records you created are removed from the live service.

Accounts on the complimentary 30-day access period that do not become subscribers have their app data removed when that period ends. Limited billing records may be retained longer where tax or accounting law requires it.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• provide your information in a portable format;
• withdraw any consent you have given.

Many of these you can do yourself in the app, including deleting your account. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your records is restricted to your account, and administrative access is limited. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password and keep it private.

AutoListOnline is a business tool intended for adults. It is not designed for, or offered to, anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we make a significant change to how we handle your information, we will update this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in the app. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
